It's been pretty rainy and dreary in my area for the entire month of May, but I know our warm weather is coming soon, so I'm excited to introduce my new Norahs Kimono Tops to add to your Summer wardrobe.  They're light and flowy and are a great layering piece.  They're also a perfect essential that can go from dressy sophistication to casual Boho style, and from day to night.  You can even wear it as a cover-up at the beach.  Just in time for that Summer breeze.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: The Shay in Kindred II

This Shay Maxi Skirt/Tube Dress is crafted from a super soft modern jersey fabric that features our original Kindred II surface design.  As a skirt, the wide waistband can be worn fully opened or folded over, either at the natural waist or just above the hip, and the full skirt has a flirty flare.  The Shay can also be worn as a tube dress.  It's a great way to show off your effortless style.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: Summer Trunk Show

I am pleased to invite you to join me for a Summer Trunk Show.  SKCreations, LLC is sponsoring a trunk show featuring products crafted by Ernestine Comfort-Moody, Imani Russell, Belinda and Yvonne Payne, and yours truly.  Products will include wearable art, handcrafted jewelry, cloth art dolls and handmade bath and body products.  The show will be held Sunday, July 19th from 1:00pm to 5:00pm at Vintage Glam Tea Party and Co., 2nd Floor, 137 Kennedy Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20011.  Admission is free and the event is open to the public.

While there, you can also shop the first level Vintage Glam Boutique for some unique treasures, including clothing, housewares, jewelry and more.  It's sure to be a fun afternoon.  You can also find this event on Eventbrite.  I hope to see you there!

Fab 5 Friday: Straw Hats

I don't wear hats all the time, but I do own quite a few.  There are certain occasions that just call for one, so it's good to have them on hand.  This time of year, you can't go wrong with a good straw hat.  The right one will not only keep the sun from beating down on your head, it can also be a chic addition to a cute outfit.  Of course, they are a must-have for those trips to the beach, and with the 4th of July holiday weekend upon us, you definitely want to protect yourself if you're going to be out in the sun.  These fabulous "finds" of the week would certainly do the trick.  For more info, check out hatsinthebelfry.com.
