Please Vote for SKCreations, LLC

I have submitted an essay entry in the Wells Fargo Works Project.  It is a contest Wells Fargo is sponsoring for small business owners who would benefit from receiving mentorship and a cash award for their business.  This is a judged contest and the winners will be based on a video or essay submission that addresses several questions.  The judges will award a maximum of 95 points for the submission.  Eligible entries are posted online in a Contest Gallery, and the public is invited to vote for the entries of their choice through July 19th.  Public voting points will be awarded after the judges have selected a group of potential finalists based on their total judged scores.

I am asking for your support by voting for my entry.  Just click the link below to get to the contest's home page.  On the home page, select the View Entries and Vote tab, then click on the magnifying glass icon (above the image) to reveal the Search Box.  Type in SKCreations, LLC and click Search.  Once my business comes up, click on the image.  That will take you to the voting page.  Under the image of my business, you will see a red button that reads Vote For This.  Click the button to vote for my business.

FYI, you can vote once a day up until July 19th, so I hope you'll do it again!

Thanks so much for your support!

Fab 5 Friday - Gorgeous Golden Sandals

It's Summer, and the sun is high and in full force, most days anyway.  Time to put on the sandals and show off those pretty pedicures!  I love a pair of gold sandals.  I think they're the perfect complement to Summer, just like Edy's Outshine Fruit Bars (Love!)  Anyway, it can be hard to find the perfect gold sandal, but you can't go wrong with any one of these "finds" of the week.  Honestly, I would love to have them all!

Fab 5 Friday - SKCreations, LLC Custom Tote Bags

Do you carry a log of "stuff" everyday?  I do.  No matter how hard I try to pare down, my bags still tend to be overstuffed.  I don't really need everything I carry everywhere I go but I don't want to be caught without something, which has happened from time to time.  What to do?  Well, the answer for me is a handy tote bag.  It's a great solution because it will fit all those "extras" that I only might need, and it'll also accommodate a purse if I want to bring one along to use separately for some other activity.  It's a win-win.

SKCreations, LLC has a great selection of Tote Bags that are roomy and durable.  The original designs will make a nice accent to any outfit too.  They're crafted from a sophisticated linen cotton canvas and have a duck cloth lining with two interior pockets.  They're easy to care for since they are machine washable too.  These are our lovely "finds" of the week.

Fab 5 Friday - Inkkas Sneakers

There are many brands of sneakers on the market, and most of us have at least one pair in our closet.  We wear them for a variety of reasons, whether it's for sports, general exercise, walking, comfort or for just plain being cute.  In the cute category, I'm feeling the Inkkas brand, and I love that they are a brand with a purpose.  Made by local artisans in Latin America, they use authentic textiles with beautiful color combinations that really make a statement.  In addition, as part of the OneShoeOneTree project, the company plants one tree for every product it sells.  Cool.  There are different styles available, including these fabulous high top "finds" of the week.  How to choose?

Fab 5 Friday - Khaki Jackets

There's a well known saying, "April showers bring May flowers."  I've never known if there is a similar saying for June, but given the weather events of this week in many areas, I've come up with one myself:

"Rain storms take center stage in June, with lightning strikes and thunder booms."

We've had some real thunder boomers in my area, and I actually cancelled plans to go out because the rain was so hard and the thunder so fierce that it sounded like some serious damage was taking place.  As for the lightning, I admit that it scares me and I always try stay clear.  If I don't have to go out, I don't!

If you can't take cover when the storms are upon us, you can brave them in style with an all-purpose khaki jacket.  I've had one in my wardrobe for years, and it is definitely a go-to staple for me.  If I didn't already have one though, I could definitely go with any of these "finds" of the week in a "flash"!

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: Coming Soon - The Shay

If you attended our Spring Trunk Show last month, you saw our newest addition to the SKCreations line of products, The Shay Maxi Skirt/Tube Dress.  Some of you even purchased one at the show (thank you), and I hope you are enjoying it.  For those of you who weren't there, The Shay is a maxi skirt that can also be worn as a tube dress.  It's crafted from the same super soft and stretchy modern jersey fabric used for our Infinity Scarves, and features several of our original surface designs.  As a skirt, the wide waistband can be worn fully opened or folded over, either at the natural waist or just above the hip, and the full skirt has a flirty flare.  Here's a peek:

The Shay is not yet available in the SKCreations online boutique, but it is coming soon!  It will be available in sizes XS to XL.  You can view the Size Chart for more information.  Stay tuned!
