SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: Peace

Lately, I've been thinking a lot about the word "peace".  It's a small word with such a huge meaning.  It encompasses a lack of conflict and unrest, as well as harmony, quiet and a state of mind.  Don't we all long for that?  It is even commonly used as a greeting.  The symbol for peace is universal, and has spanned generations.

I've created a design, titled Peace, that represents the positivity of this word.  Specifically, when we have peace of mind we feel lighter, happier and better overall.  When I completed the design it brought a smile to my face, as it captures the joyful tone I intended for it to project.  I had the design printed onto the popular modern jersey fabric, and used it to create The Shay Maxi Skirt/Tube Dress and the Bella Skirt.  When you wear these items, you're sure to feel happier too.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: The Shay in Kindred II

This Shay Maxi Skirt/Tube Dress is crafted from a super soft modern jersey fabric that features our original Kindred II surface design.  As a skirt, the wide waistband can be worn fully opened or folded over, either at the natural waist or just above the hip, and the full skirt has a flirty flare.  The Shay can also be worn as a tube dress.  It's a great way to show off your effortless style.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: How to Style Your SKCreations Infinity Scarf

I recently had a customer purchase one of my Maxi Skirts in my Zig design, and when she received it she asked if I had an Infinity Scarf to match.  Although I'd made many scarves, I hadn't considered doing one in Zig.  I did one especially for her, and when it was finished I realized how much I liked it so I made one for myself and decided to make the design available in my online store.  I also decided it would be a great choice to showcase the various ways the scarves can be styled:

You can also pair the scarf with a Maxi Skirt.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: New Naturally ME T-Shirt

Ever since I first introduced my Naturally ME series of t-shirts, I've had inquiries about making a long sleeve version available.  I liked the idea but it wasn't my focus at the time.  Well, I finally got around to designing the tee, and here it is:

Naturally ME Long Sleeve T-Shirt

The shirt is 100% pre-shrunk cotton and has contoured sides for a nice feminine silhouette.  It's very comfortable and durable too.

This Naturally ME design is currently the only one that is available in a long sleeve t-shirt.  The other designs in the series are still offered in only the short sleeve version.  They're all available in the SKCreations, LLC online boutique.

Holiday Show on Black Friday

This holiday season, I will be participating in the first weekend of the annual BZB Holiday Gift & Art Show.  It's their 25th year and they are going all out.  To celebrate this milestone, they will be giving away $25 - $100 cash prizes every hour!  Now, that's a welcome holiday treat!  The show will be held at the Shiloh Family Life Center, located at 1510 9th Street, N.W., Washington, DC 20001.  There will be lots of vendors with lots of goodies, so you're sure to find something that's on your holiday gift list or maybe something for yourself.

SKCreations, LLC will be participating on Friday, November 27th and Saturday, November 28th.  The hours are 10am until 7pm, and admission is FREE.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: New Poncho Tops

I recently completed a new surface design collection, titled Kindred.  There are three designs in the collection, each with a different color palette and design layout.  I decided to have the designs printed onto a super soft organic cotton knit fabric, which is perfect for my new Poncho Tops.

The tops are light in weight and very comfortable, and the unique design features a shorter back to create a shawl effect from behind.
