It's Spring!  Never mind the fact that it's the 31st of March and we actually had SNOW here yesterday.  I believe Mother Nature has failed to check her calendar.  Anyway, today is a beautiful, mild and sunny day, and it also happens to be my birthday!  I am a Spring baby in every sense of the word.  I'm usually pretty positive, but my mood gets even lighter at this time of year.  Unfortunately, I am an allergy sufferer, but I vow not to complain because I'll take a bit of pollen any day over the cold and snow.

Pretty soon the flowers will be in bloom and the season will be in its glory.  I'm getting a jump on it with my new surface design, Garden Delight.  I'm showing it here on some items that can be found in the SKCreations shop on Society6.  They're sure to add a touch of Spring to your home decor.  Pollen not included.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: Naturally ME Note Cards

I am a card girl.  Perhaps it's a bit old school, but I have a real love for a thoughtful greeting card or a card with a handwritten note.  It's such a small thing to do but it can make a huge impact on someone's day.  To me, it shows that you cared enough to take the time to choose a card that reflects how you feel about someone, which I find very meaningful, particularly in this fast-paced age of technology.

I have always been a regular customer at my local Hallmark stores; so much so that I am a Platinum Crown Rewards Member.  I have a list of monthly birthdays, anniversaries and other occasions to acknowledge, so it's rare that I purchase fewer than three cards at one time.  I also love art cards.  I've accumulated a cache of these from artists over the years.  It's an inexpensive way to have a piece of beautiful work by an artist, especially if I'm not able to purchase the actual artwork.  I've even framed some of these cards.

Oftentimes I make note cards displaying some of my artwork.  Others who have purchased them have told me that they really value them and have a hard time giving them to others because they don't want to part with them.  What a wonderful compliment!  In keeping with this practice I have created note cards for my Naturally ME series.  The cards measure 5" x 7", are blank inside and come with a white envelope.  There are nine total, one each representing the individual hairstyles and the primary design which combines them all.  They're available in the SKCreations Online Boutique.  You can purchase them singly or at a savings when you purchase the set of nine.  I've created a reusable drawstring pouch to complete the set.  Fabric selections for the pouch may vary.

Need a stylus?  I've got a supply of them these days.  I use them for my laptop, tablet and smartphone.  Nowadays the stylus is almost as essential to me as a pen, and you can find them in all sizes and colors.  I have a couple that are embellished with a bit of bling, and one that has an LED light and red laser pointer.  Yes, I use them all.

My latest surface design, Stylus, is an acknowledgement of how these handy tools have made their way into our everyday lives, and I'm showing the design on everyday items such as those pictured here.  You can see the design on more surfaces by visiting my SKCreations, LLC shop on Society6.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: Wiggles I

My latest collection of surface designs is called Wiggles.  I considered calling it Squiggles, but either one works since it's a collection of shapes in wavy and squiggly lines that basically represent how I was feeling at the time I was creating the designs.  Sometimes I just need to let loose and go whichever way the flow takes me.  At times I like the results well enough to move forward with them, and sometimes I scratch them.  I'm actually quite happy with the way this turned out, and I've included the "SK" initials in the design indicating that it is an SKCreations Limited Edition.  You can view other color palettes on the SKCreations website.

These are pics of Wiggles I.  My design is on the left, and on the right it's printed on a wonderfully soft and stretchy jersey fabric.  I see a new sewing project in my future.

SKCreations, LLC Surface Design: Naturally ME Tote Bag

Introducing the Naturally ME Tote Bag.  Our Naturally ME series celebrates Black women who rock their natural hair.  Our original surface design was digitally printed onto a sophisticated Linen Cotton Canvas then used to create the outer fabric for this roomy tote bag.  The interior is constructed from a nutmeg colored durable duck cloth, and has two pockets and a base insert.
